The Party Wall Act: what Property Managers need to know [or everything you need to know about the Party Wall Act, but were too confused to ask]

At some stage, every Property Manager will probably have to deal with Party Wall matters, either when undertaking works that might affect a neighbouring property, or when works are taking place at a neighbouring property. But most Property Managers have at best a sketchy understanding of the Party Wall Act itself, and how it affects them.

This informal workshop will help guide you through the process, giving you the confidence to deal with this sometimes-complicated issue.

The workshop will cover:

  • What the Party Wall Act says
  • The different types of notice
  • What Property Managers need to do if they receive a Party Wall notice
  • Typical issues or complications that can arise

Specific implications for alterations in flats

The workshop will be run by the Party Wall experts from EK McQuade (EKM), a new business that brings together the Party Wall side of Earl Kendrick Associates with Party Wall specialists McQuade Property Consultancy.
