A mid-sized, national managing agent whose portfolio is growing week by week are currently seeking a driven, customer service focused Block Manager to join their fun, supportive team and manage their south coast blocks from home! In this role, you’ll spend 1 day a week in their London office to make sure you remain involved in their positive, social work culture, rather than feeling stuck out on your own working field based. They also ensure all their team are working through industry relevant qualifications with the IRPM and RICS as their careers progress.
Their business is successfully growing at a steady rate and they’ve now got a portfolio to pass on that has been incredibly well managed by their Head of Property Management, covering the south coast of Hampshire. In this role, you’ll be looking after around 20 blocks which range in size and age, from 10 – 100 units and purpose-built blocks/conversions/new builds alike. You’ll have the chance to fine tune your skills as well as developing new ones alongside an experienced team of leasehold professionals.
As their ideal new Block Manager, you’ll have 2 – 3 years’ experience looking after your own portfolio, will ideally have experience working from home or autonomously and will be well versed in the core duties of the role. Service charge budgets, site inspections, reporting to clients, arranging and hosting AGMs, managing section 20 major works, coordinating day to day maintenance works and health & safety compliance will make up your day to day. You’ll break up these duties by spending a couple of days conducting site visits, a couple of days completing office-based work from home and then 1 day a week in the companies London office to make sure you’re supported and staying in communication with the wider team.
The team often head out for lunch together after a busy week or to celebrate their successes and enjoy a fun office where they remain productive and positive. They also utilise the support on offer from the companies’ head office in the north of the UK, enjoying team parties and industry events together. They’re looking for someone who shares their positive, hardworking mindset and takes pride in residential management.
2 years’ experience managing a residential leasehold portfolio
Excellent customer service, communication, IT and organisational skills
Experience working from home or autonomously on a full portfolio
A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle
