Based in West London, this firm of Chartered Surveyors are seeking a new Block Manager to oversee a Greater London portfolio, taking accountability for all aspects of the management process and providing the excellent levels of service that their brand is well known for.

They look after their team and aim to promote within, developing skills wherever possible through support and new challenges. With a strong customer focus, they provide services to the wider London property market and currently have an experienced team of Block Management experts working together on the companies’ Leasehold portfolio.

You’ll be passionate about Block Management, having managed your own portfolio before, possessing a strong knowledge of service charge budgets, AGMs and Section 20’s. You’ll fit well within a friendly team who work hard and celebrate success. Junior Property Managers who are ready to take their next step within the industry may also be considered for an adjusted role with the right knowledge and mindset, taking on every aspect of the companies’ values and processes.

Hammersmith offers fantastic travel links and a great social/retail aspect, allowing you to enjoy your cultural London surrounds while progressing on a professional level. You’ll visit your developments on a regular basis, getting to know the people you assist and working closely with estate based team members.

Responsibilities will include

  • Managing a Residential Portfolio
  • Preparing & Managing Budgets
  • Coordinating Repairs & Maintenance
  • Section 20 Notices & Major Works
  • Dealing with Leaseholder Enquiries
  • Conduct Site Inspections & AGM’s
  • Health & Safety Compliance
  • Insurance Claims

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience managing your own residential portfolio
  • Experience with S20’s, service charge budgets & AGM’s
  • Passion for the industry and the desire to succeed
  • Well Presented with excellent communication skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Industry qualifications such as IRPM, IOSH or RICS
  • Experience in a similar location
  • Exposure to new builds and the handover process

Salary Range & Benefits

This position is offering a salary of around £30 - 35K depending on experience but a higher package may be considered for the right candidate. This company is also open to seeing Junior/Assistant Property Managers who have relevant industry experience and are ready to take the next step in their career. A company pension scheme is also provided alongside a positive, well-equipped workplace.
