Block Manager or Junior PM - South West London

Are you currently working in a support role with a Managing Agent and wondering what your next step might be? We’re currently working with a small yet steadily growing company to find their next Block Manager or Junior Property Manager, someone who understands the industry and can start assisting the team hands on while working towards taking on a portfolio of their own.
 
This is a small yet close-knit team who enjoy working collaboratively to achieve the best possible standards at all times in a fun, lively office. Their portfolio has been growing steadily since they established 5 years ago and they’re keen to make sure the team don’t end up over worked as they feel it’s too common in Block Management that PMs are loaded with a huge portfolio, standards then start to slip and PMs no longer feel valued or supported. Their aim is to keep standards high while building a team who share the same values and can continue to enjoy a positive company culture.  
 
Most of their portfolio covers Greater London and they also have a couple of Blocks on the South Coast. The aim of the Block Manager or Junior Property Manager is to assist the existing team of 4 across all aspects of managing their portfolio but to also train to take of blocks of your own, building a portfolio as a Property Manager in time. In this role, you’d be conducting site visits, booking in maintenance works, communicating with leaseholders, clients and contractors, assisting on service charge budgets, planning major works projects, assisting on section 20 notices and attending leasehold/client meetings. This role will be really hands on and will expose you to all the different duties of a Property Manager, providing crucial experience while you work towards your IRPM qualifications with the support of your new employer.
 
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 1 years’ experience in the Block Management industry either at Administrative Support or Assistant Property Manager level
  • Excellent communication, IT and organisational skills
  • A full UK driving licence, pool car provided by company

Desirable Requirements
  • Experience assisting on Service Charge Budgets and Section 20 Major Works
  • Previous experience working on a freehold portfolio
  • Foundation/affiliate exam passed with the IRPM
 
Salary Range & Benefits
 
This position is offering £24K - £30K depending on experience plus extensive training, support through your IRPM qualifications and a positive work place and company culture.
