Property Assistant - Client Side - South Yorkshire

£20,000 - £24,000 - Block Management
Ref: 627 Date Posted: Friday 24 Aug 2018
Have you started your career in a Property support role and aren’t too sure where to go next? If you’re looking for a progressive opportunity, one where you can grow and develop alongside a forward-thinking company while gaining nationally recognised qualifications, this could be it!

We have an incredibly rare opportunity to work client side in the Leasehold Property Management sector but at a more Junior level, a great entry route into Leasehold / Block Management! In this role, you’d be working with a Senior Property Management professional overseeing a national portfolio of blocks of apartments, developments and estates on behalf of Private Investors. Each site, block or development is managed by separate companies called Managing Agents and, in this role, you’ll be supporting your Manager in appointing and overseeing the Managing Agents on behalf of the Investors. This role is therefor seen as the Client to various Managing Agents so is a very attractive opportunity to many property professionals as it’s working on property management on a larger scale, rather then organising day to day maintenance and budgets etc.

Don’t worry if you’re not a fully-fledged leasehold expert yet, full training will be provided in this role, we’re mainly looking for someone from a great admin and more general property background! The key however is passion, hard work and a driven approach to your job! If you’re currently working in Estate Agency, Student Accommodation or Commercial Property at a supporting level then this could be a great move to step your career up to the next level and specialise within a property sector!

In this role, you’ll be handling queries from apartment owners (Leaseholders) on a day to day basis by phone, email and letter, assisting with the supervision of external managing agents in relation to H&S compliance, service charges, budgets and property maintenance. You’ll also be assisting your Manager with their day to day duties and conducting occasional property visits with them, this can be done via public transport though, so the role doesn’t require a car/driving licence. No two days are the same in Leasehold Property Management and people find it to be an engaging role!

Here at Block Recruit, we consider this company one of our Employers of Choice. We work closely with them on their recruitment and the team members we’ve helped join their offices in Yorkshire and London all sing the praises of the office cultures, senior management and the support that’s on offer. They are keen to support all of their staff through the IRPM (the UKs leasehold management qualifications) and provide career development where possible. They enjoy social events throughout the year and being based in their head office in Yorkshire, you’d be at the heart of it all!

If you’re looking for people who’ll guide you, train you, value your hard working and celebrate your successes with you then apply today, this is a fantastic opportunity early on in your career!
