Property Manager AST - East London

£16,000 - £25,000 - Estate Agency

You will be tasked with ensuring industrial spaces, housing, buildings and other properties look clean, are well maintained, and are in excellent working order. You will also arrange any needed repairs, interview potential renters, address property and leasing rules, resolve concerns and complaints from tenants, pay municipal bills, collect rent or association fees, look after the grounds, make sure the building complies with all regulations, and create budgets.

Property Manager Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Ensure properties are occupied by qualified tenants by following up on leads, advertising, and showing properties to prospective tenants
Choose qualified tenants and create rental agreements
Collect rent and deposits
Enforce rental agreement terms
Resolve tenant complaints
Regularly inspect property to ensure it is in perfect working condition
Quickly solve emergency maintenance problems
Oversee eviction proceeding
Update financial records monthly regarding property operations
Negotiate contracts with vendors
Create and distribute monthly financial documents for property owner
Schedule maintenance and repairs
Maintain open dialogues with property owner on financial issues, physical condition of properties, tenants, and vacancies

Property Manager Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations and laws
Strong business and interpersonal communication skills
Detail oriented and highly organized
Proficient with office management software
Familiarity with financial reporting
Real Estate Broker’s license
