Resident Engagement Manager


Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 DOE
Location: Reading (On-site, 9 AM - 5:30 PM)

 

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Resident Engagement Manager to join our client’s team in Reading. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring excellent tenant and resident engagement, providing top-notch customer service, and managing day-to-day operations related to property management. Your efforts will help foster a positive living environment for our residents while ensuring the smooth running of our department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resident Support: Provide advice and information to tenants and residents, promoting active engagement.
  • Meeting Participation: Attend both internal and external meetings as needed. (Time off in lieu is available for meetings outside of normal hours.)
  • Complaint Management: Handle and resolve complaints effectively, ensuring issues are managed through to completion.
  • Reactive Maintenance: Manage maintenance requests by raising job orders, coordinating with contractors, and keeping residents informed.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Offer exceptional customer service by responding to queries via phone, email, and in person, ensuring swift and accurate communication.
  • Data Management: Manage electronic data, emails, and office communications, responding within 24 hours and ensuring all documentation is appropriately filed.
  • Contractor Liaison: Work closely with contractors to ensure high standards of work, following up on any issues, and sourcing local contractors as needed.
  • Support the Estate Manager: Assist in large projects, manage the Estate Manager's diary, and provide coverage when needed.
  • Cost Management: Find ways to reduce costs while improving the service provided, including re-tendering contracts and managing insurance claims.

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

  • A strong desire to learn and develop knowledge in property management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and familiarity with QUBE or similar property management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.

 

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years property management experience or exposure
  • Highly self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to respond effectively to daily challenges.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to contributing to a supportive company culture.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both internal teams and external contractors.
