We’re Trust Property Management, a multi-award winning firm specialising in Block Management.

We’re a team of 12 working in our open-plan office in a vibrant, supportive, friendly environment that encourages collaboration. Our office has a strong family feel to it with us all working hard together to achieve common goals. Our Accounts Team is managed by Hemal and Chetna. Although they’re Directors, they work out in the main office with the rest of the team and don’t shut themselves off in an office. This gives us direct access to the most experienced people in the team and they support us in our day to day roles.

You’ll join us as a Senior Service Charge Accountant. You’ll be one of the most experienced within our team and as such, we know you’ll be able to hit the ground running. You’ll also support Hemal and Chetna with mentoring and supporting the wider Accounts Team, sharing your knowledge and expertise with them to ensure tasks are completed to the high standard we pride ourselves on.

Key duties you’ll take responsibility for will include:

Preparation of annual accounts for audit including collation of all supporting documentation
Management of the audit process in line with legislations and deadlines
Preparation of monthly and quarterly management reports
Complete monthly bank reconciliations
Liaising with the property managers/clients/leaseholders regarding any accounting queries
Occasional availability to attend on site or client meetings – including budget or accounts presentation
Assistance to Property Managers in the preparation of service charge budgets
Issue service charge budgets/demands
Other ad-hoc tasks as may be required

To be successful in this role you must be organised, self-motivated and a team player. The ideal Senior Service Charge Accountant will either hold or be studying towards ACCA/CIMA (full AAT will be considered). You must have excellent Excel and accounting skills along with experience within a similar role.

As our Senior Service Charge Accountant, it would be a great for you to have experience in the handover of blocks / accounts and the implementation of new blocks being integrated into our portfolio.

Hours: 09:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday

Office: North West London

Flexibility: Negotiation on work setup and hours

Minimum Requirements:

3+ years’ experience in Service Charge Accounting
Experience using Qube
Excellent administration and organisation skills
A good eye for detail

Desirable Requirements:

Accountancy qualifications – ACCA / CIMA / Full AAT

Salary Range & Benefits:

This position is paying a competitive salary of £38,000 - £45,000.
