Due to ongoing success and the demand for their services, we are now searching for a new Client Accountant / Service Charge Accountant who is looking to join a team of like-minded professionals.
What is important to our client is that the new Accountant be a friendly and positive team player. The company very much work as a close-knit team, so being willing to lend a helping hand to a colleague, being a good communicator in addition to having a good sense of humour are all good things to help you be successful in this role.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ experience working in an accounts role in the Block Management industry. You will have relevant service charge or property accounting experience, the ability to deal with sensitive information and challenging situations professionally and confidentially and be able to take responsibility for your own workload. For this role you will need to be able to work closely with others, including Property Managers, as well as external bodies and customers.
You will need to be extremely customer focused, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service at all times. You will be responsible for: (Full list of duties and responsibilities available upon request.)
- Working with Property Managers on the allocated portfolio of approximately 40 developments
- Run monthly/quarterly/yearly service charge demands
- Preparation and reconciliation of year-end expenditure and invoices, finalising pre-payments, accruals and balances, making adjustments as necessary
- Update shared tracker spreadsheet at relevant intervals during each process in producing and finalising service charge year end accounts
- Answer calls regarding outstanding service charge accounts or leaseholder/client queries
- Attend meetings with clients to set up/resolve any new business or client account queries

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
On offer is a salary between £20,000 - £28,000 PA dependent on your industry experience. There is a terrific opportunity to grow and progress your career with a company who truly value their staff. They support their team through qualifications and also offer you the time to study and learn.
The working hours are Monday – Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm with a paid hour lunch break, in addition to a Time in lieu policy, for any hours worked outside of core hours to attend AGM’s and Directors meetings.
