They’re one of the best names in Block Management with c.40,000 residential units in their portfolio and they are currently looking for their next superstar, a Technical New Business Manager to work alongside one of their Directors and to train to become an integral part of the company.
This is a new role to the firm and will combine a technical background in residential leasehold with the confidence and knowledge needed to succeed at gaining new business. Previous new business experience is not needed for this role, the key here is strong technical knowledge and the proactive mindset needed to gain new clients alongside industry relevant qualifications.
In this exciting new role, you’ll utilise your skills previously built up as a Block Manager and will be working on the new business process from start to finish alongside one of the firms’ directors, focusing on winning new stock from developers and overseeing new developments during their integration into the companies’ management, then passing them over to a property manager. Your excellent technical background will be best used during the initial stages of tendering for a new development, clearly demonstrating your understanding for the clients and estates’ needs.
Day to day, your main tasks will be to develop and manage client relations, act as a lead liaison manager, attend technical and handover meetings, manage M&E documentation, put together service charge budgets and forecasts, monitor H&S compliance, manage and support the handover process of new developments and support senior management in developing and implementing the business development strategy across the company.
This role is flexible and will involve both home based work and office based work as well as travel across the UK to attend meetings and visit residential developments. You’ll be a forward-thinking block management professional who’s confident in bringing new ideas to the table and working towards incredibly high standards. You’ll be a quick learner, looking for progression in your career as this is a real opportunity for someone with drive an ambition. Experience in working with demanding developers/clients would also be beneficial, this will be a fast-paced role where the best is expected!
At least 2 years’ experience managing residential leasehold portfolios
Industry relevant qualifications such as degree level, IRPM or RICS
Strong technical building service knowledge such as M&E systems

Salary Range & Benefits
This position is offering a competitive salary of around £40K per annum which is negotiable depending on experience plus either a company car or a £5K car allowance, this is yet to be decided and will depend on what best suits the successful candidate and the role.
