Have you recently Graduated, finished 6th Form/College or feel stuck in a role with no progression?
With limited commercial opportunities on the Isle of Wight, it can be difficult to decide what to do next in your career. But what if you could secure a role that can offer future development with an exciting professional sector?
We’re now hiring on behalf of a Commercial Energy Brokerage who are currently a small team with a stable client base, and they are about to embark on growing the business by taking on a new Trainee Broker! Put aside what you might already know about the role of a Broker, this firm aren’t cut-throat sales people who cold call all day long. Instead, they build long term, trusting relationships with commercial clients and represent them to energy suppliers, achieving the best possible prices for them year after year. They take all the hassle out of energy contracts and also work closely with the suppliers themselves on their clients ongoing accounts.
Their new Trainee Broker, you will initially join the team and support the Directors in their day to day duties as well as completing general office administration. Through these more junior duties as well as ongoing training from senior management, you’ll gradually progress to working on client accounts and bringing in new clients of your own as a Commercial Energy Broker. This is a really exciting time to join this firm as you could become an instrumental team member as they continue to grow, they hope that their new Trainee will grow into more senior roles and help them grow a team in turn!
This company are open minded in terms of your background and will consider candidates from office based/admin backgrounds, Graduates, 6th Form/College leavers and those looking for a new sector to work in. They’re also keen to find someone with good Numeracy Skills as you’ll be working with figures as you progress and attention to detail will also be key! The role will be mostly office based but you might need to complete the odd client meeting on the mainland once your responsibilities have increased, the Directors are also commercial property landlords so take a flexible approach to this role, you might also end up helping out with the odd bit of office management!
Their office is a calm and productive space, but the odd bit of office banter is also enjoyed so a good sense of humour would go down well! Oh and did I mention, there’s an office puppy! One of the company Directors has just welcomed a black Labrador puppy named Jack to the family and he spends a fair bit of time helping out in the office. He’s beautifully behaved and nice and quiet but also loves a bit of attention so dog lovers are definitely welcome!
