Goverment has announced that an independent regulatory group and code of practice will be established to regulate our sector by April 2019. In the proposals being brought in agents will be required to obtain a recognised qualification to practice, and at least one person in every company required to have a higher qualification. The regulator will also have stronger powers of enforcement and prosection will be possible for those agents that break the code.
