Description
The Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 provides another route for leaseholder empowerment and a method for taking control of a building. But the simple process envisaged by the Act has not come to pass and technical problems and pitfalls aplenty exist to catch the unwary. Moreover, the process of acquisition of management functions and the extent of those functions is not as user-friendly as property managers or leaseholders might wish. This one-day course deals with both the legal process and the practical issues arising from RTM claims.
Content
What the course covers:
• The qualification criteria
• The claim process; Tribunal litigation
• Post-acquisition management problems.
Audience
Those involved in the legal process and practical issues of RTM claims.
