Doyenne, Connecting Leasehold Women
24 November 2016

The glittering Sanderson Hotel, in London’s West End, was the venue chosen by Doyenne for their latest, full to capacity, networking event.

If you’re wondering exactly who Doyenne are, the clue is in the name. Recognising the need to create a forum where women within the leasehold sector could connect, support and inspire each other, Alice Cadfan-Lewis (Director, Block Recruit), Emma Blaney (Operations Manager) and Samantha Massey (Associate Director, Managed Living Partnerships) formed Doyenne – meaning ‘the most respected or prominent woman in a particular field’.

Providing a platform for women in property to come together and share experiences and information, the event has seen, freeholders, developers, lawyers and surveyors, as well as recruitment specialists, human resources experts and IRPM representatives attend.

As well as the opportunity to connect with their peers, guests also enjoyed speaker, Abby Brealey’s talk on her career in property so far, and the challenges faced and overcome. Abby (Senior Property Manager, Rylands Associates) said of the evening “I was honoured to be invited to speak this evening. The Doyenne events are such a great way of connecting with women in our sector in a relaxed environment.” Rylands Associates took the lead on sponsoring this event and provided make-up bags with Mac goodies in them, which went down very well.
