Company Service

  • We will survey the incident promptly, prepare a full report for insurers containing photos, measurements and costs to deal with the damage including drying out if applicable.
  • We will meet with loss adjusters and negotiate with the adjuster / insurer for authorisation to carry out repairs
  • We will undertake, project-manage and finance all repairs for the client to pre-loss condition sending our invoice to insurers after the client is completely satisfied
  • We act for the homeowner to ensure that repairs are specified correctly and completely but at the same time manage the claim efficiently reducing the claim life cycle and the cost and risk of future problems cropping up 
  • We charge the homeowner nothing for this service and pay for our time by achieving a margin on the building works we carry out

 

The Role 

  • Full time permanent role
  • Qualify new claims enquiries and explain the service of the company and its benefits to the claimant
  • Meet new claimants at their property, assess the claim and obtain the client’s written instructions to deal with their claim by the client signing our mandate 
  • Take photographs of damage, room measurements and notes of works to be done so a scope of works can be prepared in the office by the company’s contracts manager
  • Attend meetings with loss adjusters at the client’s premises to present the client’s claim and argue the client’s position and justify what works are needed after the claim has been submitted

 

Training Provided 

  • Office training on how to qualify new enquiries for claims and explain the service of the company and its benefits
  • Office training on how to qualify inbound enquiries and validate to ensure the claim has legs and we can deal with it
  • Site training on how to conduct a meeting with a new customer and how to explain our mandate and terms of business and get the customer’s instructions and signature
  • Site training on how to present a claim to a loss adjuster and argue the claim from the customer’s point of view

 

Skills of Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of dealing with residential property insurance claims 
  • Excellent customer facing skills and communication skills 
  • Ability to effectively solve problems, negotiate and think on his/her feet.
  • Willingness to learn and move beyond a traditional claims handler role

 

Background of Ideal Candidate

  • Currently working in a property claims department of an insurance company, a claims management company appointed by insurers to deal with their claims, a firm of loss adjusters in the role of trainee adjuster
  • Looking to work in a small team, develop new skills and be trained to develop a career in a fast growing, profitable business
