We’re working with a small, yet growing business located in the heart of Hove. About to embark on the next stage of growth and having just won their largest, flagship scheme, this team are looking for an experienced Property Manager to support their vision.
 
The company are investing in internal systems and processes to make them “slicker” and more efficient in day to day operations. Their portfolio spans across the South Coast up into London and they have plans to tender for larger sites to increase their portfolio size.
 
The team are dynamic, focused and hardworking. With accounts professionals, surveyors and admin support, the team take a collaborative approach to Property Management.
 
As their new Block Manager, your role will be to manage an assigned portfolio of residential leasehold blocks in line with industry regulation, guidelines and best practice. Your role will therefore include setting and managing service charge budgets, carrying out site inspections, overseeing major works projects, chairing AGMs and building and maintaining strong relationships with the leaseholders and clients across your portfolio. The portfolio size is dependent on the experience level of the successful candidate.
 
Minimum Requirements
 
  • 2+ years’ Block Management experience
  • A full working knowledge of Service Charge budgets, Section 20 notices and relevant law/regulations (Landlord & Tenant Act 1985)
  • Experience in chairing AGM’s and carrying out site inspections
 
Desirable Requirements
 
  • Industry related qualifications such as IRPM / RICS / IOSH

Salary Range & Benefits
 
This position is paying a competitive salary of £25K - £35K depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include 20 days holiday increasing in line with years of service, a discretionary annual performance based bonus, commission on new business, cash plan, pool car and the Managing Director also said “if things mean something to people, I’m open to it” so team members also have personal benefits that relate to their own personal hobbies and interests.
