Property Manager - Essex

£30,000 - £35,000 - Block Management
Ref: 386 Date Posted: Monday 23 Apr 2018
We’re a fast growing company, reaping the rewards of success, and excelling in keeping track of an increasing portfolio of clients, sites to manage, and an expanding workforce. Lots of plates spinning, but we pride ourselves on keeping both our service levels, and staff spirits, high.

Our company understands the value of the individual. We’ll invest in your personal and professional growth, to ensure that we continue to create an all-star, expert Property Management Team. We value our staff, they’re undoubtedly our biggest asset, and we know that, without them, we wouldn’t be where we are today.

As a company that does things as a team, you’ll be right there with us when we celebrate our achievements. You’ll get spruced up to attend industry events such as the Property Management Awards, feeling involved in the action when we win (wink wink!) and the resulting celebrations of course! Two high points on the calendar are the summer and Christmas parties – both opportunities to pat ourselves on the back and to enjoy socialising with colleagues.

We are now looking for our next member of the team to be based from our office in Harlow. We’d describe this office as “organised chaos”, it’s a busy, buzzy office and we all bounce off each other’s vibes. We have a bit of banter, enjoy a laugh and have been known to hold hoverboard races round the office BUT we do get our heads down and work hard to achieve success. We are all very career driven and focused on getting work done so don’t mistake us for anything less than hardworking...

You will be joining us as our new Property Manager, joining the division that manages the smaller unit blocks. Your role as one of our Property Managers will be to manage a portfolio of around 40 sites throughout London. The sites will be made up of no more than 20 units per site, giving you time to provide the service you’ve been dreaming of! The role is also therefore ideal for someone that has been working as an Assistant Property Manager / Junior Property Manager looking for their next challenge and the opportunity to prove themselves as a Property Manager.

Your role will therefore include carrying out site inspections, preparing and managing service charge budgets, overseeing and managing works, issuing Section 20 notices, dealing with contractors and attending AGM’s.

The ideal person for this role would be someone with passion, energy and a commitment to the job. If you’re someone that is customer focused and can build and maintain strong relationships with leaseholders and clients alike then you could be the one. Someone that is approachable, confident and experienced would be best suited to this position. You must have experience within the Block Management sector and ideally be IRPM qualified.

Minimum Requirements:

·         At least 2 years’ Block Management experience.
·         A working knowledge of Service Charge budgets, Section 20 notices and relevant law/regulations (Landlord & Tenant Act 1985).

If you don’t meet the requirements for this role, call the Block Recruit team to see what other roles we may have which could fit your current level of experience.

Desirable Requirements:

·         Industry related qualifications such as IRPM / RICS.
·         Property related degree.

Salary Range & Benefits:

This position is paying a competitive salary of £22,000 - £27,000 (depending on experience) for the right person along with a number of attractive benefits.

Application Process:

Once we have received your CV you can expect to get a call or email within 1 week.

Unfortunately, if you don’t meet the minimum requirements for this position then you may not be contacted for this role. However, we would still love to discuss other opportunities suitable to your current skill set and experience and how we can assist you in your employment search. Give us a call for a confidential careers chat today!
