Job Title: Senior Service Charge Accountant (Client-side)
Location: Central London
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (1 day from home per week)

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Service Charge Accountant to join our team in Central London. This role is essential in ensuring the highest standards of accounting practices are maintained and developed across our managing agents. The successful candidate will be pivotal in auditing, verifying, and ensuring compliance across various financial aspects, contributing significantly to our divisional accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving Best Practices: Lead initiatives to ensure managing agents adhere to best accounting practices.
• Audit and Review: Conduct thorough reviews and audits of managing agents' operations.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate tax treatments and compliance across all transactions.
• Heating Accounts Management: Reconcile and accurately account for heating accounts in developments, including tariff reviews and surplus/deficit analysis for each scheme.
• Service Accounts Approval: Review and approve year-end service accounts.
• Void Cost Calculations: Review and approve ongoing void cost calculations.
• Divisional Reporting: Assist with divisional reporting and handle ad hoc requests.
• Daily Operations Support: Support the day-to-day operations of the divisional accounting function.

About You:

• Experience: Significant experience with service charge accounting, ideally within a developer or managing agent environment.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous and detail-oriented approach to work.
• Positive Attitude: Proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to tackle challenges.
• Team Player: Friendly and collaborative, able to work well within a team.
• Forward Thinking: Innovative mindset with the ability to think ahead and propose improvements.
